Scorpions Live in Bali !A fully emPad equipped FOH system was deployed for the first ever Scorpions Live Show in Bali by LASIKA Productions based in Surabaya, Indonesia.
The FOH system was designed by LASIKA technical director Ronald and emPad System engineers Suwedi and Eric.
- 12 pcs CC35 full range cabinets per side were flown in line array configuration.
- 4 pcs B315 per side were ground stacked to augment the Low frequency response of the CC35's in the spectacular open air venue.
No digital processing was used for the FOH system. The LASIKA's Midas FOH console outputs were feeding the mains signals to a standard KT graphic, and from there it was directly fed to the emPad amp racks.
The result of this simple setup illustrates that a simple design that respects system basics can produce astounding results. It also testifies to the fundamental advantages that proper physical time alignment of the cabinet components can achieve.

All monitors were in ear except the side fills, which were compiled of 2 pcs Meyer Sound 650P and 2 pcs Meyer Sound M2D per side.
Scorpions FOH engineer Achim Shulze was very pleased with results. Some of his comments: "I do not favor or reject any FOH loudspeaker system as long as it delivers the power and quality required for a succesful Scorpions show.", and "I was very impressed with the emPad system’s low frequency response. The kick drum sounded great, the system had power to spare."
We would like to point out that the 32 box emPad system delivered a punchy 125.9 dB C weighted @ 50 meter mix position.
Once again emPad has proven to be up there with the best. The multi application character of our concert systems allows our rental production clients to maximize return on investment because they can use the same equipment for any production whether it be an outdoor rock concert at heavy SPL’s, or a corporate show in a 5 star ballroom, or anything in between. The same cabinet with the same amplifer rack and wiring configuration does it all, thus facilitating a constant flow of rental revenue. LASIKA has experienced this succesful formula first hand and has reconfirmed approval by repeating their initial investment twice so far.
