There were 3 stages at this year's Dubai Jazz festival that lasted 3 days.

The stages were named after their main sponsors.

The central, biggest stage was the Philips stage. This stage featured 2 bands per day for a single show each.
The second stage was named the I-Mate stage. One band performed 2 shows daily
The third stage was named the Cadillac stage. One band performed 2 shows daily

All Staging, Sound & Lights as well as video plus all engineers were supplied by Artes Productions based in Dubai.

Chief System designer and System engineer for all sound systems was Mr Avril Rodrigues.

Mr Arthur Kroll of Yamaha was on hand to train, mix & assist guest FOH engineers on the Yamaha PM5D FOH on the Philips stage and the Yamaha DM2000 FOH on the Cadillac stage.

System A

The sound system on the (main) Philips stage consisted of 8 pcs CC35 flown per side plus 8 pcs spread out along the stage front. Additionally there were 3 pcs MS8 acting as near field fill.


FOH console was a PM 5 D RH. No outboards were used here.


FOH Amplifiers for this stage were a total of 17 pcs emPad DXA2400


Monitors on the Philips stage were a mix of Meyer Sound wedges and Martin Audio L400's.


Monitor console on duty was A&H ML 3000.




System B

The sound system on the I-Mate stage was built around 4 pcs Meyer Sound M3D flown per side plus 2 pcs M3D sub stacked per side.


FOH console @ the I-Mate stage was a Midas Verona complimented by a select combination of KT, Drawmer, DBX and Yamaha processing and effect equipment.


Monitors on the I-Mate stage were a mix of Meyer wedges and emPad MS69 monitors.


Monitor console was also a Midas Verona and KT graphic EQ's.




System C

The sound system on the Cadillac stage consisted of 1 pcs emPad B315 + 6 pcs B7 flown per side plus 4 pcs B315 stacked 2x2 at center stage.


FOH console at Cadillac stage was a Yamaha DM 2000. No outboard equipment was used. XTA DP 226 took care of the FOH Speaker System management.


The Cadillac stage monitors were a mix of Meyer Sound wedges and emPad MS69 monitors.
